One year home! (Nov. 18)
It is hard to believe, but today is the one year anniversary of the day we brought Lucas home from the hospital. There’s so much to say about everything that’s happened in a year, that, well, it’s a good thing we keep a blog because we couldn’t begin to sum it all up in one post. Most importantly, for a whole year we’ve felt happy multiple times a day to have such a beautiful kid in our lives… and especially happy to have him at home with us!
All three of us have come so far in a year, but Lucas most of all – he’s about three times bigger today than a year ago. Here’s Nov. 18, 2009…

I am sure you guys have been busy, but I didn’t want to miss the chance to say congratulations. One year is a huge milestone and you guys have gotten so far. Thank you for sharing this first year with us.

the video of Lucas smacking his lips is soo adorable and automatically brought a huge smile to both noah and my face. hopefully one day we will have the honor of meeting him in person… i remember when he was a lovely thought of yours and burke’s, i wish you much continued joy and blessings.

It is amazing to reflect on how you and Lucas have learned and grown in this year, and how much we have learned too, through the gift of your blog. On the evidence of your photos, you have a beautiful and radiant child there. You all look happy and healthy! I’ve just put the pic of Lucas in his sweater & hat on my screen saver rotation. I’ll be enjoying that luminous smile every day!
