Aquarium camp! (July 29)
Lucas wrote a couple blog posts about his experiences at the Seattle Aquarium “Furry & Feathered Friends” camp this week:
i went to that aqareum camp cause there is 2 more days of it .
we of course had fun .
just theese cute cute cute otter things that we did .
i wrote that cause otters are really really really cute .
i wrote 3 reallys cause i wrote 3 cutes .
also sam did a otter rap for me
i went to that camp AGAIN!
we had fun with seals today.
we made our own stufed one .
we also got to train pretend people ones where we swiched placees on
seal and trainer .
we had fun cause that was one of the 4 rules on the camp code .

I love the cute cute cute otters, too, as well as the seals. The aquarium is one of my favorite places to visit 😊. Your camp sounds like so much fun!

Krista and Burke,
I’m just getting back to your blog after a lapse of 2 months, much of it out of town celebrating Lucia’s wedding, over Memorial Day, to Alex Seitz-Wald. (Happy excuse, no?). It’s wonderful to catch up on everything that has happened with your family in those 2 months: Lucas cracking ever more sophisticated jokes (love the pig pig!), Ida crawling and cruising, a new aide at school who is working it with Lucas–hooray for that! The whole community has so much to thank you for: for Lucas, who is progressively revealing his awesome self, for adorable/indominable Ida, and for your advocacy and your example.
